NinetyThousandHours is unlike any other agency you’ll ever work with.

First of all, we’ve been you - we’ve done the jobs we are recruiting into. Well not the ACTUAL jobs. Our founding directors Rob and Gemma racked up a wealth of experience in media sales, planning, running commercial media departments and brand management before they got into the heady world of recruitment.

It was searching for talent for their teams that made them realise something had to be done to meet candidates’ career development goals without compromising client needs. People were leaving jobs for the same jobs in other companies for just a little bit more money and no more joy…. Career hours were being flushed down the pan.

Media recruitment is a cluttered, over-crowded and competitive market.  We knew we needed to stand out from the rest, to show that we offer something completely different, that we give tangible results and value to candidates. In-house recruiters, other agencies and past colleagues are all competing for the top talent.

 To a sought-after candidate it can feel like a messy, complicated blur – you’ll be contacted on LinkedIn several times a day and your inbox will be flooded with cold calls and job descriptions.  You need someone to take all the noise away and put in the time to align your career plan with what you really enjoy doing and where your skills really lie.

Ascent Solutions was born in 2007 with the goal of putting the candidate at the heart of the process, of nurturing talent and growing careers and creating long-term relationships with candidates and clients alike. In 2016, in order to bring the fore the values and vision we live every single day, we rebranded to NinetyThousandHours.

We wanted to show clients and candidates alike that we understand your goals and aspirations, we understand you,  we are ‘Your career agency’. So, we are now in a new and exciting chapter of growth and passion and candidate dreams coming true and all round explosions of career satisfaction and, oh it’s too, too awesome!



We’ve already invested a massive chunk of each of our NinetyThousandHours in media, digital and sales. In fact it was our founding directors’ struggle to attract great talent that made them get off their backsides and start NinetyThousandHours. We don’t just get you, we’ve been you.
