A bit about this role


Based in brand new offices in central London, you will be working for the industry’s number one company for all things football related!

This global business creates and delivers specialist, highly targeted, large-scale conferences for the football community.  Their events attract upwards of 2,000++ delegates from all over the world. People come to network and talk about the commercial side of the beautiful game.


As a Brand Director you will have three teams reporting in; Sponsorship and Exhibition Sales, Delegate Sales and Marketing.

Day-day you will have overall P&L and revenue responsibility across three large-scale conferences (Europe, Americas and China) ensuring all targets and standards are met.  Strategically you will structure the departments as you see best fit and ensure that marketing delivers qualified leads that feed smoothly into the sales process.

You will have scope to hire and build out the teams to a high-performance standard.  You will also take a lead in Tier one contract negotiations.

The sales team is doing well, but improvement can always be made, so if you have experience in structuring and delivering sales training this would be advantageous.



First off, if you like football, then this is a strong foot into the industry. You will be networking with the C-Level across all clubs from all over the world; FC Barcelona, Manchester United, LA Galaxy to name a few. Moreover, you will build incredibly strong contacts across the main football leagues, associations and confederations; The Premier League, Serie A, FIFA and UEFA.

From a skill-set and development perspective you will be taking a good team and making them great, so this will require strong leadership, leading from the front, but also strong management and implementing systems and process and methodology.  There is huge opportunity to grow the portfolio and launch new events which in years to come would look amazing on your CV to have taken a Brands revenue and profit from X-Z!


  • Experience in B2B sponsorship sales from the conferencing and events industry.
  • Experience in working to a structured and process-led environment.
  • A consultative sales process, able to handle complex negotiations, responding with considered and creative solutions
  • High standard of interpersonal skills, professional confidence and tenacity
  • Strong sense of customer service and client management
  • Experience and strong ability to lead and manage a sales and marketing department
