The company is a vibrant, fast-paced content and information business with a market leading brand for the Pharmaceutical sector. The company anticipates trends and connects people to market-leading, sector-specific expertise. Due to this brand's success, growth and exciting new product development the company are seeking a commercially astute Business Development Manager to join their growing team.

Based in newly awesome, light and newly refurbished Central London offices, this is an opportunity to join a large established and successful business as a Business Development Manager. Your role will be to sell high level consultative solutions and business insight and intelligence, to C-Level leaders in Pharmaceutical companies, NHS Trusts, Charities and other organisations. You will have an entrepreneurial spirit to spot new opportunities and the drive to generate and manage new business accounts.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Reporting to the Commercial Director the Business Development Manager will have responsibility for cross sector accounts and be tasked with forging new relationships, through calls and face to face meetings. If you love to learn and put your sales skills to practice working with really senior people in Pharma, this would be a great role for you.

Day to day aspects of the Business Development Manager role include:

  • Identifying and engaging with new prospects
  • Seeking out multiple decision makers within Pharma businesses and NHS trusts predominantly
  • Arranging and conducting face to face meetings across the UK and potentially travel to meet European clients
  • Attending relevant events and networking opportunities
  • Setting up and Project Managing client demos

WHAT DO YOU NEED? 

You should have a keen interest in healthcare and the pharmaceutical and ideally come from a subscriptions sales / business intelligence background or have sold to decision makers within the pharma sector previously. You would be required to have high level conversations about key political and social topics with your clients.

The successful Business Development Manager should have the following attributes:

  • Excellent commercial and interpersonal skills
  • Good communication and analytical skills
  • Have a proactive and approach to sales
  • Demonstrable success in a business intelligence or subscriptions or a B2B media sales role
  • Be money motivated
